You will be updated with latest job alerts via email Support wellness and academic success for all students by supervising the practice of registered nurses and delivery of health services provided by nurse assistants in assigned area. Collaborate with campus leadership through a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure the delivery of health services meet standards of care applicable state laws and District policies and department procedures.
Provide leadership guidance and supervision of health services staff to implement and maintain a comprehensive school health program at each school in assigned area
Participate in performance appraisals identify learning opportunities for professional growth provide effective feedback and develop corrective action plans for health services staff in assigned area
Facilitate and monitor compliance of state mandates and communicable disease control measures to ensure they are conducted in accordance with the public health authority district policies and department guidelines
Collaborate with other interdisciplinary school professionals parents and external stakeholders to maximize communication and delivery of health services at each school in assigned area
Assume management of Health Services programs projects and other tasks as assigned
Bachelors of Science in Nursing is required; Masters preferred; NP preferred
License Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
Maintain certification as a State Screener in Vision Hearing Spinal and Risk Assessment for Type 2 Diabetes in Children AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certified in American Heart Association Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/AED
Ability to build and maintain relationships to communicate effectively to all levels of health services staff campus administration external departments leadership and external stakeholders stakeholders in the development implementation and management of health services provided in assigned area
Delegate responsibilities appropriate to the licensure and experience of assigned health services staff
Effectively intercede with and resolve concerns related to the delivery of health services
Familiar with Texas Nurse Practice Act Board Policies and electronic health record system to monitor data collection for the evaluation of the safe delivery of school health services
Organizational skills with an attention to detail and an ability to perform under demanding and stressful conditions
