Job Description
Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a $30M tech/communications company who is seeking a Controller to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
Title: Controller
Location: Reston VA
Salary Range: $200000 - $225000/year bonus equity
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
The ideal candidate will possess a CPA have Big-4/public accounting experience demonstrate strong technical accounting expertise and exhibit an excellent track record in team management with the potential to grow into a CFO role.

The ideal candidate will possess a CPA have Big-4/public accounting experience demonstrate strong technical accounting expertise and exhibit an excellent track record in team management with the potential to grow into a CFO role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting operations team both domestically and internationally.
- Oversee all operational accounting aspects including financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Interpret and apply technical accounting guidance and standards to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial controls and processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff fostering a culture of professional development and excellence.
- CPA certification required.
- Experience in Big-4 or public accounting is highly preferred.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge particularly in interpreting and applying accounting guidance.
- Proven track record in managing and leading accounting teams.
- Ability to work in a complex multi-entity environment with international operations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and clearable with some travel required (1-2 weeks per year).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
