Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing all financial operations within a manufacturing plant including budgeting forecasting cost analysis inventory management financial reporting and ensuring compliance with local regulations working closely with plant management to optimize profitability and identify areas for cost reduction while maintaining accurate financial records and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Accounting:
- Manage standard cost calculations and variance analysis for production processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze labor material and overhead costs to identify potential savings.
- To manage overall material master data for accuracy and run costing error free
- Reconciling COPA with Trial Balance
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage the plant budget including capital expenditure plans aligning with overall company strategy.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and analysis to identify trends and performance metrics.
- Conduct cost variance analysis to identify areas for cost optimization and process improvement.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with IFRS Indian GAAP and local regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes
- Operational Support:
- Partner with plant management to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Assist in project evaluation and capital expenditure justification
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Commerce Accounting or Finance with a strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting inventory management and financial analysis
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP) and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Indian tax regulations and compliance requirements
