Job Description
Job Summary :
Our pharmacy micro-fulfillment centers are the pharmacies of the future! What is pharmacy micro-fulfillment Its a pharmacy network of facilities that dispenses and ships a variety of prescriptions to Walgreens retail stores. Were using innovative robotic technology in a central pharmacy environment. Together were making lives healthier and simpler by reaching thousands of patients with life-saving medications each day.
Responsible for providing order processing support for fulfillment and/or provide assistance in the preparation and distribution of prescription medication via the use of the fulfillment system. Follows standard operating procedures and performs duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities :
- Using Walgreens prescription data entry procedures and guidelines processes new patient registration by entering data into appropriate system. Handles patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enters refill orders for processing. Troubleshoots to obtain missing prescription information and interprets medical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolves all data entry related exceptions.
- Run automated machinery sort medications transition inventory through different workflow stages with a focus on quality control.
- Count and fill prescriptions affix labels pack and ship. Clean and help maintain machinery andmaintain an orderly work area.
- Resolves Third Party Rejects by reviewing gathering information making corrections andresubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Provides assistance to Pharmacists both those in the facility and those at other and communicates issues to senior level staff as appropriate.
- Must obtain active technician license or
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- National PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail fulfillment or call center environment.
