The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of irrigation systems ensuring optimal water usage and healthy landscapes. This role requires a current Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Irrigation License and hands-on experience with both commercial and campus-scale systems.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect maintain and repair irrigation systems valves controllers and piping.
Program and adjust irrigation controllers for seasonal changes and water conservation.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as leaks clogs and electrical malfunctions in irrigation systems.
Perform regular testing to ensure compliance with TCEQ standards and campus requirements.
Coordinate with grounds and landscaping teams to ensure efficient water distribution.
Keep accurate service and repair records.
Maintain tools equipment and work vehicles in good working condition.
Qualifications
Required: Current TCEQ Irrigation License (Technician or Installer).
2 years of experience in irrigation installation repair and maintenance (commercial or large-scale properties preferred).
Knowledge of irrigation system design hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift 50 pounds.
Valid driver s license and clean driving record.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
