Roseburg is located on Interstate 5 in Southern Oregons scenic Douglas County. The community is nestled in a lush forested region known as the 100 Valleys of the Umpqua. Are you a passionate and skilled cook looking to make a real difference Were seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role youll play a key part in ensuring our patients staff and visitors receive nutritious and delicious meals prepared with the highest standards of safety and quality.
More than just a cook youll be a caregiver. Youll prepare meals tailored to diverse dietary needs and restrictions including therapeutic diets while adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations. Your culinary expertise will ensure consistent high-quality food that meets both our patients needs and our commitment to excellence.
What youll do:
- Prepare and serve meals using a variety of kitchen equipment (slicers mixers ovens etc.)
- Adapt recipes to accommodate allergies and special dietary requirements.
- Maintain meticulous food safety standards preventing cross-contamination and adhering to temperature guidelines.
- Ensure proper food storage labeling and sanitation practices.
- Contribute to a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Participate in quality control measures to maintain recipe adherence and food consistency.
- Understand and implement menu planning principles to create nutritious and varied meals.
- Provide exceptional service always keeping the patient/customer perspective at the forefront.

Qualifications
What youll bring:
- At least two years of food service experience.
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Food Handler Permit required upon hire.
- A passion for food and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
