Job Description
Cannon Automotive Solutions a divisionofCleveland Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Simulation Engineerin our Cleveland Tennessee stamping facility. The Simulation Engineeris responsible foris responsible for creating and maintaining CAD Data. The ideal candidate will have prior Simulationexperience be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain all CAD Data relative to a program as specified by the project engineer and/or customer
- Creates and maintains simulation and die processes both 2D and 3D based on internal and external customer requirements
- Develops basic to advanced level process proposals based on direction from product design engineering and/or engineering analysis
- Recommends alternative design scenarios to meet or exceed customer requirements
- Create and modify 3D surfaces
- Interfaces with Project Engineering Manufacturing Division and Customer to meet requirements for assigned project
- Interfaces with manufacturing Division to ensure that all formability requirements are met
- All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed necessary by Supervisor
Minimum Qualifcations:
- At least 5 years working experience in a Simulation Engineer role.
- At least 5 years in automotive and or tooling environment
- Must be affluent in NX 3d Surfacing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related field
