Job Description
What success looks like in this role:
- Assist in Installation and Configuration: Help with the installation configuration and maintenance of Windows servers and related infrastructure
- Monitor System Performance: Regularly check system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance
- User Account Management: Support user account management including account creation modification and deletion
- System Upgrades and Migrations: Collaborate with senior administrators on system upgrades and migrations
- Documentation: Document system configurations processes and procedures to assist with knowledge sharing
- On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations as necessary responding to incidents and outages
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Associates degree and 0-2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a Windows server administration role or related field
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Active Directory DNS and DHCP; familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation tasks
- Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively
- Learning and Growth: Strong interest in learning and growing within a Windows server environment
- Virtualization: Experience with VMware or Hyper-V for virtualization management
- Network Protocols: Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices
- Soft Skills
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
