Job Summary
The City of Greeley Homeless Solutions Department is seeking an individual who is committed to providing support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the Housing and Homelessness department and proven ability to work independently as well as a team player. Duties include assisting in project preparation communications historical document review record-keeping with data input data management data review and quality control. This position requires a self-motivated candidate with sound judgment problem solving skills and data management abilities who can work in collaboration with the project team.
Scheduled Hours: 15-40 hours per week during regularly scheduled business hours
Potential Duration:175 hours starting July 1 2025
Minimum Requirements
Intern I
- Valid unrestricted drivers license
- High school or High school graduate enrolled in a relevant degree program
- One (1) year of record-keeping experience with data input record-keeping data management data review and quality control.
- One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Excel for data input validation visualization and analysis FILTERS VLOOKUP and other advanced features required
OR
- A combination of related education experience certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job may be considered by the hiring authority.

Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Community Survey Design & Analysis
- Create and distribute a survey on homelessness and housing needs in Greeley (RRH Team).
- Analyze results and present findings with visualizations and actionable insights.
- Strategic Planning & Engagement Support
- Participate in planning meetings and outreach events.
- Create support materials (e.g. PowerPoints one-pagers).
- Field Shadowing
- Shadow outreach staff and other program case managers in the field.
- Assist with data entry and creating support materials (power points charts graphs spreadsheets)
- Policy Research & Development
- Conduct comparative research on homelessness case management policies across Colorado cities.
- Develop a matrix/summary report with recommendations for Greeley.
- Assist in drafting or refining local/department policies based on findings.
Work Environment
- Primarily based in a standard office environment which involves working at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
- The noise level is generally low to moderate consistent with a typical office setting.
- This position may occasionally require visits to other offices or off-site locations for meetings or project work depending on job responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
- Mobility: Minimal physical effort typically found in clerical work. occasional walking or standing ability to move throughout office location.
- Dexterity: Ability to perform repetitive movements for typing writing and operating office equipment.
- Strength: Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Endurance: Ability to maintain focus and productivity for periods while performing job duties.
- Flexibility: Infrequent need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat climb stairs push or pull reach above shoulders.
- Vision and Hearing: Sufficient visual ability to read printed or digital documents view computer screens and perform detail-oriented tasks. Adequate hearing to participate in verbal conversations virtual phone and in person communications.
