Position Summary:
The Laboratory Superintendentis a member of the Products Control Department reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager. The role coordinates lab hourly activities which include scheduling training supply ordering and general supervision of hourly employees and is a liaison with laboratory chemists.
The role will be a leader and champion of an inclusive work environment quality data safety value addition continuous improvement and customer focus. The Laboratory Superintendent will display and foster strong and effective communications within the laboratory and between other departments.
Successful candidates must possess robust leadership and interpersonal skills as the position will require interaction with a diverse group of direct reports in addition to Operations Maintenance Tech Services Products Control and other groups within the refinery.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements
Completed Bachelors Degree (or above) in Chemistry or related science. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
Must have past work history demonstrating strong effective leadership while supervising a team of employees
A Valid Drivers License is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electrochemical analyses gas chromatography and spectroscopy.
Minimum of five (5) years of analytical lab experience
