What Youll Be Doing
As an Associate Business Management Global Markets youll contribute to the Business Management function by supporting day-to-day activities in Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities (FICC) as well as Global Markets Financing and Financial Resource Management (GMF & FRM). The successful candidate will address issues and inquiries related to business activities such as strategic initiatives projects and regulatory and compliance matters.

How Youll Succeed
- Strategic & Business Planning: Youll support and contribute to strategic and business planning by collaborating with Business Managers. You will also assist in managing new initiatives including Change Initiative Risk Assessments (CIRAs).
- Execution Support: Youll collaborate with other Business Managers and infrastructure groups to implement business plans and execute strategic initiatives. Additionally you will assist in developing presentations for Senior Management Board meetings and onsite/offsite conferences. You will oversee the collection management and analysis of data for Quarterly Dashboards including operational losses revenue and other key performance metrics ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership. You will also be accessible throughout the day to respond to ad-hoc information requests projects and resolve day-to-day issues.
- Governance & Compliance: Youll coordinate and attest to CIBC governance functions user access contracts etc. Youll ensure Risk Delegations and Authorized Product lists are up-to-date; support the completion of Volcker-related documentation; coordinate update of Front Office Policies & Procedures; coordinate and respond to auditor/regulator requests findings and reports; coordinate completion of contract intakes and third party risk assessments; manage Global Markets intranet resources; and develop and implement improvements to internal procedures and practices including effective and documented internal control structure as evidenced by policies and procedures specific to the individual business activities
Who You Are
- You have 3-5 years of experience working in capital markets or a corporate development function. You bring strong knowledge of capital markets products (products and processes).
- You have an Undergraduate degree; MBA/CFA/CA is an asset.
- Youre digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.Proficiency in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint. Experience analyzing large volumes of data and developing management reports.
- You communicate effectively demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills. You articulate your ideas clearly and concisely ensuring your message is understood by diverse audiences.
