Job Description
- Permanent part-time position (68.4 hours per fortnight )

Your new role
As a Principal Practitioner you will strengthen the practice skills and knowledge of all services staff and lead a practice culture that is evidence based and integrates theory and research into practice. You will work closely with community services practitioners and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Alliance Partners Networks and Child Protection.
In addition you will:
- Lead the development of practice excellence across Uniting Eastern and Southern metropolitan divisions in conjunction with management and staff
- Provide case consultation and technical input on complex cases.
- Build the expertise of the community services practitioners through training and professional development initiatives
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with line managers in Community Services

Your skills and experience
You are keen to progress your career into leadership and seek an organisation that will provide you the support and opportunity. You enjoy imparting your knowledge and experience to newer practitioners through mentoring activities.
You will bring:
- Essential: A degree in Social Work Psychology or a related tertiary qualification relevant to child and family welfare
- Desirable: Post graduate qualifications in Social Work Psychology or a related field
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Extensive theoretical underpinning particularly in trauma theory attachment theory and trauma neurobiology
- Extensive experience working with vulnerable children young people and families
- Extensive experience in Trauma Informed Practice
