Make an impact at Serco
As a Clinical Nurse in the Mental Health team you will make a positive impact by providing advanced clinical nursing care and support to inmates at Acacia Prison. You will be responsible for mental health assessment intervention strategies and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality health services. This is a permanent full-time position.
As a Clinical Nurse Mental Health youll make a positive impact by:
- Conducting advanced clinical assessments and managing mental health care plans for patients
- Leading the nursing team in delivering evidence-based practice and quality patient care
- Collaborating with healthcare and custodial staff to ensure safe and effective service delivery
- Promoting patient safety and ethical standards in all aspects of nursing practice
- Participating in clinical governance and quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery
- Supporting the professional development of nursing and healthcare staff

To be successful in this role youll have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A minimum of four years of post-graduate experience in mental health nursing
- Experience in clinical leadership and management within a mental health setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
- A thorough understanding of ethical and legal standards in nursing practice
