Job Description
Description This position is a unique opportunity to be a member of a fast paced highly skilled collaborative Design/Mechanical Engineering team. This position actively participates in the design CAD Drafting development of files required to prototype and manufacture all Parabit manufactured products. Job Tasks:
- Create custom mechanical CAD components.
- Update existing mechanical CAD drawings manufacturing engineering.
- Create components for our 3D modeling design tool library referencing manufacturers specification using Solidworks.
- Use logic mathematics reasoning experimentation analysis tools physics calculus and written communication skills to analyze and solve complex mechanical designs.
- Remain current on leading-edge CAD technology new materials manufacturing processes and their potential application to our manufacturing facility.
- Maintain file creation and versioning storage specifications.
- Document all daily actions by completing maintaining and submitting time logs by project.
- Research best materials and design approaches for the development of parts/assemblies developed and drafted.
- Develop part/product renderings.
- Use company standard K factors while creating accurate solid models.
- Create computer operated machine cutting files.
Requirement Qualifications:
- Five (5) Years experience
- Bachelors Degree Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of performing with a sense of urgency and occasionally changing to a project with increased priority.
- Two (2) Years experience with the creation of CAD Drawings for sheet metal fabrication
- SOLIDWORKS 2010 and up
Bonus Qualifications:
- Conceptual Skills
- Knowledge of machine file cut program creation and editing
- Sheet Metal/CNC fabrication experience
- Experience with the creation of CAD Drawings for CNC part fabrication
- Knowledge of KeyShot
- Knowledge of Visual Mill
- Knowledge of Sigma Nest
