As a Technical and Logistical Engineer providing Patriot Missile System Subject Matter Expertise (SME) youll support the Integrated Fires and Mission Command for the Patriot Missile System.
The various and challenging duties of this position will allow you to travel the world from your home base facility in support of the Patriot Air Defense a member of the Patriot team youll meet with Soldiers and Department of the Army Civilians at all levels to provide critical support for the installation of Army Modification Work Orders (MWOs) and troubleshooting complex system problems to directly assist our warfighter in a field location to ensure full mission readiness. Your expertise is needed in the development of Modification Work Orders by extracting critical elements of the Engineering Change Proposal.
Former U.S. Army Patriot Warrant Officers Patriot Missile System enlisted operator-maintainers and civilians with qualified backgrounds are encouraged to apply for this position is ONSITE.
What You Will Do
In this role youll use your robust Patriot system engineering technical skills and knowledge of operator and maintainer tasks consisting of extensive experience in system troubleshooting hardware installation and software execution to solve weapon system problems at all levels of maintenance. As the Patriot Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Patriot hardware and software combined with experience of ECP and MWO development you will be responsible for a broad scope of Patriot System Life Cycle engineering tasks.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Providing on-site technical and professional leadership by providing expertise for maintenance support and operations including the following:
Hands-on equipment installation
Augmenting fielding activity for Patriot hardware
Providing software engineering support
Support ECP and MWO installations
Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems to include MWO installation problems for the Patriot Missile System.
Attending meetings with U.S. Government customers and coordinating activities at Patriot units
Provide SME support for technical validations of logistical events such as New Equipment Training (NET) Technical Manual validations/verifications and Logistics demonstrations.
Additional responsibilities will include developing Department of the Army documentation pertaining to Integration kits software publications and training in support of the program and developing various sustainment and Life Cycle Engineering plans
This job may require as much as 100 days of domestic and foreign travel in one year split 60% domestic travel 40% foreign travel
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires: Bachelors degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience with Patriot Missile System components operations and/or maintenance procedures
Experience with Modification Work Orders Life Cycle Logistics Plans Modernization Fielding Plans Defense Planning or Tactical Planning at the Patriot Fire Unit Battalion or Brigade level
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Patriot Army Air Defense System
Ability and experience to manage facilities as needed and lead teams to achieve mission success
Skilled at system troubleshooting with knowledge of Patriot software and hardware
Experience with Patriot System Integration and Checkout (SICO) procedures
Familiarity with the Interactive Authoring and Display Software (IADS) to view Patriot Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS).
Familiarity with Maintenance Control System (MCS) diagnostics in both the Patriot Engagement Control Station and the Information Coordination Central.
Familiarity with Radar maintenance procedures and Radar Maintenance Control System.
Knowledge of the Armys wholesale and retail supply systems Army readiness reporting system and Army maintenance concepts or comparable DoD systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate with and present material to stakeholders at all levels
Ability to work collaboratively with various teams
