Job Description

Senior Cost Policy Analyst

The Boeing Company - Government Accounting has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cost Policy Analyst to join our team in Berkeley Missouri or one of the following locations.

Available Work Locations:

  • Washington:Everett Kent Renton or Seattle

What Youll Do:

  • Support Cost Policy Practices:Collaborate with the Boeing Military Aircraft (BMA) team to address cost policy inquiries assist with government audits and implement yearly accounting changes

  • Interface with Key Groups:Work closely with various internal and external groups at Boeing including Accounts Receivable Defense Contract Audit Agency Defense Contract Management Agency Financial Accounting Financial Operations Cost and Financial Structure Management and Intercompany Accounting

  • Capital and Expense Classifications:Assess whether procured or built items should be classified as capital assets expense assets or charged to contracts and make ownership determinations

  • Serve as a Focal Point for Internal Research and Development (IR&D):Act as the primary contact for independent research and development initiatives providing insights and support from a cost policy perspective

  • Experience successfully leading multi-function team projects driving on-time deliverables that meet leadership needs

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the research preparation data validation review approval and reconciliation of complex financial statements and reports

  • Leads the analysis and mitigation of compliance risk/errors of a complex nature

  • Leads the analysis and interpretation of highly complex directives policies and regulatory requirements to provide expert guidance on new and existing accounting issues including the writing editing and approving of white papers on accounting issues

  • Leads the identification and communication of cost collection requirements and develops implements and maintains cost accounting structure/systems tools data and related realignment activities

  • Leads the development and deployment of highly complex changes to accounting tools and processes

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field

  • 3 years of experience in a Finance Accounting Business or related role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

  • Experience with government company and local policies procedures and regulations (e.g. Estimating system manual Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Procurement integrity Export Control relating to development of cost proposals

  • Strong communication skills to convey accounting and compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical teams including executive leadership and external government auditors

  • Experience with Enterprise Accounting System (EAS)

  • Willingness to mentor team members and a background in accounting or finance

Summary pay range for CAPA TX VA WA: $102100 - $138000

Summary pay range for AL AZ MO SC: $95200 - $128800
