Job Description

As the Payroll Specialist at Crescent Electric you will assist in the operation of the Payroll Department by carrying out duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Payroll Manager and responding to employee questions.

Pay Details:

  • The expected rate of pay for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 hourly.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Process payroll in accordance with the payroll schedule.
  • Review data to ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Support the Payroll Supervisor and Payroll Manager in payroll initiatives.
  • Adapt to new processes and procedures as required.
  • Complete Employment Verifications forms within the required period.
  • Respond to employee/manager questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as resource for the Accounting Payroll and HR departments and Executive Team on payroll matters.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to work accurately with confidential information.
  • Possess interpersonal organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and detail oriented.
  • Ability to use analytical and problem-solving skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 3 months related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
