Mobile Maintenance Technician - San Jose

Job Description Summary

Job Overview:
The Mobile Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance repairs and periodic inspections across multiple properties. This role requires travel to different job sites to ensure that all properties are well-maintained safe and operational. Key duties include cleaning roof drains following an assigned route completing lighting night inspections and addressing carpentry and cosmetic building items. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented has strong general maintenance skills and can work independently.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:
oPerform scheduled maintenance on plumbing and other facility systems.
oAddress all hazards such as tripping hazards and leaks promptly.
oClean roof drains regularly to prevent blockages and water damage.
oEnsure all carpentry lightingand cosmetic building items are addressed promptly.
oInspect and diagnose equipment for signs of wear damage or safety concerns.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
oIdentify and repair mechanical electrical and plumbing issues within the properties.
oRespond to maintenance requests and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
Property Inspections:
oConduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs safety hazards and code compliance issues.
oComplete lighting night inspections according to the assigned schedule to ensure all exterior and interior lights are functioning correctly.
oFollow an assigned route to perform inspections and maintenance tasks across multiple locations.
Documentation:
oMaintain accurate records of work performed including maintenance logs inspection reports and parts used.
oReport work orders closed timely.
oReport any major issues or repairs that require additional resources or follow-up.
Safety Compliance:
oComplete all safety trainingtimely
oEnsure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
oMaintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Customer Service:
oCommunicate effectively with clients and stakeholders providing updates on maintenance activities and addressing any concerns.
oProvide excellent customer service by ensuring minimal disruption to property operations during maintenance activities.
Travel:
oTravel to various locations within the designated region to perform maintenance repairs and inspections.
oMaintain a flexible schedule to accommodate emergency repairs and high-priority service calls.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:
oHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
oValid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Experience:
oMinimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance repair or a related field.
oExperience with mobile or field service work is highly desirable.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement the geographic area in which the work will be performed market pay rates in that area and the candidates experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $40.00 - $40.00
