This position requires knowledge of clerical and court procedures. This individual has daily contact with the public governmental officials and agencies and is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the District Judges and Court Coordinators.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). The individual should possess a thorough working knowledge of clerical procedures and practices with one (1) to two (2) years in clerical operations including computer applications and accurate typing skills of 50 wpm. Civil/Criminal law knowledge preferred but not required. Individual to obtain certification by the Texas Center for the Judiciary through their Professional Development Program for Court Coordinators. The Assistant Court Coordinator also must acquire 15 hours of continuing education credits per year.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
