Student Engagement Worker (Teaching Assistant)
Salary:TSAT Pay Group 2 Pro rata 19837 - 22150 for hours and weeks stated (24299 - 27133 FTE)
Hours: 35 hours per week 38 weeks per year
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: Permanent

The Portsmouth Academyis seeking to appoint aStudent Engagement Worker (Teaching Assistant)to join our dedicated and vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on young peoples lives by supporting their learning and wellbeing.
As a Student Engagement Worker you will play a vital role in promoting both the physical and mental wellbeing of our students working closely under the direction of our teaching staff. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and has a strong desire to support young people in reaching their full potential.
Key responsibilities:
- Support students learning by supervising and assisting them in1:1 sessions and small groups
- Help students engage across a variety oflearning activities and interventions
- Work collaborativelywith staff to ensure students have access to the resources they need to succeed
About You:
- Experience in working with young people to support theirmental and physical wellbeing
- Aconfident communicatorwith strong written and verbal skills
- Educated to aminimum Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Highly motivated energetic and reflectivewith a passion for helping students and building positive relationships with both students and parents/carers
Working hours: 8am to 3.30pm or 8.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday
