Job Description

Permanent Band C - 9 hours per week - 38 weeks per year

Hayfield School is a primary special school specialising in meeting the needs of pupils who have moderate learning difficulties and social communication difficulties.
The Governors are seeking energetic and enthusiastic Playworkers to deal with the welfare general supervision of our pupils over the lunchtime period with the possibility of additional hours as classroom support.

Ideally the successful candidate will have had relevant experience of working with challenging children and a clear understanding of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. It is highly desirable to have experience working with pupils with ASD although training will be given. An ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential. Relevant experience of working with children is required and experience in delivering games/ sporting activity would also be beneficial.
