Shipping and Receiving Clerk 2
The University of Miami/UHealth department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Shipping and Receiving Clerk 2 to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The Sr. Shipping & Receiving Clerk assists with tasks necessary to operate the moving and receiving/shipping department functions including functional supervision of a working crew. Must be able to assign work and provide guidance to lower level workers performing moving and receiving functions.
Contacts appropriate staff or department to verify order or shipment requirements.
Schedules outbound shipments coordinating pickup times with trucking companies to ensure on-time delivery.
Ensures appropriate paperwork is completed and accompanies each shipment.
Confirms exceptions and unusual deliveries and tracks orders back to originator internally to verify.
Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
Communicates shipment schedule changes tactfully and adjusts shipping forecasts.
Logs and tracks vendor non-compliances such as short shipments incorrect shipments and early or late shipments.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge Skills and Attitudes:
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Commitment to the Universitys core values.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
Any relevant education certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
