Spectrolab Inc.Spectrolab Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Companys Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business unit and the worlds leading merchant supplier of high efficiency multijunction solar cells for spacecraft power systems has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Equipment Services Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Sylmar California.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing activities related to the design test and integration of equipment
- Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes
- Participates in equipment make/buy decisions; participates in source selection and provides technical oversight of suppliers
- Manages develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e. manager project manager team lead etc.)
- More than 3 years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
- More than 3 years of experience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit teams
- Experience with software coding practices
- More than 3 years of experience with automation systems maintenance robotics systems and various types of equipment controllers such as Siemens 840D Fanuc and Allen Bradley
- More than 3 years of experience articulating and implementing strategy-to-action plans
- More than 3 years of experience working with customer and supplier requirements to support program deliveries (e.g. planned versus unplanned demand economic order quantity resource planning material type manufacture or purchase lead times)
- More than 3 years of experience in Satellite or Space Programs
- More than 3 years of experience with Supplier/Contracts/Program Management practices and processes
- More than 3 years of experience in collecting and reporting schedule performance to a project/program schedule baseline
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors degree or higher.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master3 years related work experience 9 years related work experience etc.)
Relocation:

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $124100 - $167900
