36Job Description Summary:
It is the responsibility of the OB Surgical Technologist to function under the direct supervision ofJob Requirements Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
EDUCATION
1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
2. Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program
3. Completion of Certification program and exam preferred and required for
Certified level (CST-Certified Surgical Technician).
EXPERIENCE
1. Two years recent hospital or health care facility experience required
2. Two years current OB Surgical Technologist experience preferred
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Certified Surgical Tech Required at hire
Basic Life Support Required at hire
Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire
PREREQUISITE SKILLS
1. Knowledge of surgical techniques anatomy and physiology
2. Knowledge of surgical procedures and terminology
3. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment and supplies
4. Ability to work independently interdependently and under supervision within department and hospital policies
5. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills required
6. Ability to function in an intermittently stressful environment
8. Ability to read speak write clearly and legibly and understand and follow English verbal and written instructions
9. Ability to establish priorities and follow through on assigned tasks.
10. Ability to communicate clearly work tactfully and effectively with patients visitors physicians team members and other hospital staff.
11. Knowledge of medical terminology.
12. Proficient with current in-house computer systems.
13. Ability to work effectively as a team member and contribute positively towards the goals of the team and the organization.
14. Maintain a calm demeanor while working in an atmosphere of conflicting demands.

The compensation for this role listed on this posting is in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidates compensation will be determined based on the individuals skills experience internal/market equity factors and qualifications. This posted minimum and maximum range represents the minimum and maximum of what we reasonably expect to compensate for the position. Furthermore all compensation decisions are ultimately determined in accordance with our compensation philosophy. Compensation for positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by the agreements in the aforementioned document.
