Position Summary:
Assist manager in all phases of the Zipline operations and Hualapai Point ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our guests while operating in a profitable efficient manner. The Manager will report to and collaborate with the Hualapai Point Manager and General Manager.
Knowledge and Abilities:
1. Develop schedule and maintain proper inspection maintenance of vehicles zip lines and zipline equipment.
2. Perform daily safety inspection list with assistance of staff.
3. Perform minor repairs as required for zipline equipment.
4. Schedule contractor inspections as required in operations manual and contracts.
5. Review and maintain equipment conditions supply and inventory.
6. Assist in installation of signs and banners when needed.
7. Coordinate and perform ground maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Complete all actions items assigned; all daily equipment and structure inspections to ensure thorough completion.
2. Participate in weekly staff meetings; Department Manager and General Manager.
3. Develop maintain and distribute daily weekly and monthly reports to Manager.
4. Respond to emails voicemails and other requests in a timely manner.
5. Cross train all staff positions and provide coverage in various positions as needed.
6. Plan logistics to accommodate groups and special tours.
7. Develop and maintain efficient tour methods.
8. Oversee daily operations including but not limited to function of equipment following of company policies and procedures implementation of guest restrictions and customer satisfaction
9. Maintain injury logs stay in compliance with all insurance policies.
10. Review maintain and update department procedures as needed.
11. Schedule maintain and update department procedures as needed.
12. Develop supervise and maintain approved training programs for Guides Cashiers and photographers.
13. Maintain employee evaluations and training reviews.
14. Create staff schedule.
15. Monitor and maintain labor costs at approved levels in relation to revenue dollars with assistance of GCRC Executive Team.
16. Supervise staff daily respond to employee questions and concerns.
17. Supervise and oversee tour reservation schedule; reservation capacity and change open tour accordingly.
Qualifications:
1. Supervisory and management experience preferred.
2. Excellent time management and organizational skills; must be detailed orientated and self-motivated.
3. Professional demeanor.
4. Proven ability to deal effectively with guests and staff.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Other physical abilities and qualifications pertaining to the job.
7. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal Members.
Working Conditions:
Position requires ability to work outdoors as well as indoor environments. Must be able to work varying schedules weekends and holidays. Willingness to work in a remote location.
