Are you looking to launch your actuarial career in a dynamic reinsurance environment As anActuarial Analyst Iin Everest Reinsurance Companys Canadian Actuarial Department youll be based in our Toronto branch where youll support pricing financial reporting and regulatory filings across a diverse portfolio.
What Youll Do
In this role you will:
Price reinsurance treaties and collaborate with Underwriting to support the Canada Treaty and Hybrid portfolios including Property Casualty Professional Liability Crop and Surety.
Contribute to profitability and benchmark studies across lines of business.
Assist the Canadian Appointed Actuary with quarterly IFRS17 financial filings and OSFI statutory work (AA Report Internal Target FCT).
Provide ad hoc support in capital modeling data analytics and global pricing efforts during renewal seasons.
Explore data and develop streamlined efficient processes.
Participate in client visits broker meetings and marketing events as needed.
What You Bring
To succeed in this role you should have:
A bachelors degree in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics or a related field.
02 years of experience in P&C actuarial pricing; reinsurance or commercial/large account pricing is preferred.
Active progress toward ACAS/FCAS designation.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Technical proficiency in tools like Excel VBA SQL Python (a plus).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain actuarial concepts clearly.
A self-starting attitude business acumen and the ability to thrive in a hybrid agile environment.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships across teams and regions.
Flexibility to respond to dynamic business needs and tight deadlines.
