ANNOUNCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Parks Coordinator

Recreation Services Department

Hiring Pay Range: $25.01 to $31.26

Pay Grade: 109

Full Pay Range: $25.01 to $37.51

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Recreation Services Maintenance Supervisor performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repair of grounds facilities and parks that are part of the Recreation Services Department. Assigns supervises and reviews work of subordinates.

Essential Duties:

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum three (3) years previous experience in general maintenance landscape and construction experience required. Minimum two (2) years previous experience in athletic sports field preparations for practices games and tournaments.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Licensing Certification and Other Requirements

Must possess valid a valid driver license upon hire. Must possess a Arizona Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or obtain within 6 months of hire date. Must possess a Arizona Pesticide Applicators Certification in the Turf and Ornamental category or obtain within 12 months of hire date. Position is primarily Tuesday through Saturday with potential of Monday through Friday during the off season. Night evening weekend and split shifts may be required.
