CommQuest seeks a Cook/Kitchen Assistant at our residential facility located in Canton. The cook is responsible for the operation of the food service including meal preparation serving dishwashing and kitchen and dining operations.

CommQuest Services is one of the largest non-profit mental health addiction recovery and social services organizations in Northeast Ohio working with clients from more than 34 counties in 12 facilities through more than 20 programs. We help people make positive changes in their lives through in-patient outpatient and school-based programs along with supportive services - from basic needs to employment assistance.

What youll do:
- Plan and prepare meals for residents staff and /or visitors according to nutritional and budget standards and planned menus. Assuring menus accommodate residential allergies special health requirements etc.
- Provide meals for residents working/attending school outside of the house
- Assist residents with food preparation and work therapy in the kitchen and dining areas
- Maintain a clean sanitary and organized kitchen including dishwashing kitchen and dining operations
- All other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Part-Time dayshift hours including some weekends/rotations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Previous experience cooking in a commercial kitchen or for large groups preferred
- Must be able to follow a set menu and account for inventory
- Willing to receive training and certification through the Massillon Health Department
