The Role: Laundry Technician
MaineGeneral Health is currently looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Laundry Technician. This role collects washes mends and distributes linens and uniforms.
The Opportunity:
Our team of Housekeeping professionals is currently seeking a full-time Laundry technician to join our team of dynamic professionals. This role helps to create a sanitary safe environment and enhances the appearance of our beautiful state of the art facility. We pride ourselves on helping our employees succeed by investing in the newest equipment and technology available to help you perform your daily tasks. The Work:
Collects sorts washes dries and folds linens and uniforms
Adheres to infection control guidelines when handling soiled items
Performs daily inventory to ensure clean linens and uniforms are accurately stocked and distributed. Identifies stock shortages and notifies management.
Mends or disposes of damaged linens and uniforms according to departmental policies
Operates all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies
Maintains work area and in clean and safe condition
You Have:
A positive can do attitude
A team oriented mindset
High School diploma or GED preferred
1 or more years of Housekeeping experience preferred
