The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Research Laboratory Technician to work at the UHealth medical campus in Miami Fl.
CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Research Laboratory Technician aids scientists in their experiments by monitoring and recording their findings. Moreover the Research Laboratory Technician ensures laboratory compliance with applicable safety regulations.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Cleans sanitizes maintains and operates laboratory equipment.
2. Keeps records of research data and assists in analyzing it.
3. Maintains inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies and places orders in a timely fashion.
4. Proofreads and assists in the writing of manuscripts grant proposals and lab protocols.
5. Prepares reports of experiment results.
6. Performs research by completing simple experiments or steps in more complicated studies.
7. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software technology and relevant computer applications.

Department Specific Functions
The SCCC Myeloma Institute is looking for a research laboratory technician with a focus on flow cytometry. The ideal candidate will ensure timely sample processing consistent gating strategies high-quality data analysis and optimal operation of the cytometer under lead PI and program director supervision
