Housekeeper/ Theatre Cleaner

Location: Fulwood Hall Hospital Preston

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Full-time

Salary: Depending on experience Benefits

Summary:

Fulwood Hall Hospital was opened as a purpose built facility in 1986. In 2009 the hospital completed a 9m pound investment to refurbish and expand the site making it the largest independent hospital in Lancashire and one of the largest in the north of England.

The hospital has six consulting rooms supported by a fully equipped outpatient treatment room a pre-assessment unit for screening and assessing patients prior to surgery as well as modern imaging facilities and a brand new physio and sports therapy department including gymnasium.

The role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper/ Theatre Cleaner to join our team at the Fulwood Hall Hospital based in Preston.
As the Housekeeper you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained across the respective department whilst supporting the wider team members across various departments.

Providing a range of housekeeping duties that will include:

  • Maintaining the required standards of cleanliness by following correct policies procedures and frequencies. Undertaking a variety of cleaning duties in line with the ward/area/location cleaning schedules (may include operating specialist cleaning equipment).
  • Carrying out specialist cleaning and one off cleaning duties in line with the Supervisors requirements. Ensuring that there is a general pleasant and well maintained environment for patients & visitors.
  • This is a challenging but rewarding role and would be ideally suited to a motivated team player. Previous experience in a Housekeeping role is essential and knowledge of COSHH and infection control is also desirable however training will be provided.
