The Senior Manager Commercial Analytics will be a critical partner in delivering data-driven insights to support commercial strategy planning and execution. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic and tactical initiatives for both U.S. launches and pipeline assets. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise coupled with a deep understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics and key business drivers. This position will report directly to the Head of Commercial Analytics and Insights.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Proactively leverage diverse data sources and advanced analytics to monitor performance across key dimensions delivering actionable insights that enable effective data-driven decisions
Support US Indication Strategy Teams (IST) by analyzing key performance indicators - including demand new initiations conversion and discontinuation trends and market penetration to inform strategic and tactical planning
Conduct ongoing and ad hoc analyses to uncover insights into market dynamics patient journey customer needs and growth opportunities enabling prioritization of investments and optimization of portfolio assets
Collaborate with Business Information Systems (BIS) team on data and analytics enhancement initiatives ensuring streamlined operations robust data integrity and timely accurate reporting
Partner with the Data Governance team to ensure consistent application of business rules metric definitions and standards across reporting platforms
Drive innovation by applying advanced analytics techniques including data science artificial intelligence machine learning and predictive modeling to support impactful data-driven business decisions
Skills and Competencies:
Proven hands-on expertise in applying analytical and statistical techniques to large complex datasets - preferably at the patient level including statistical modeling machine learning and artificial intelligence methodologies
Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to address complex business questions
Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear actionable insights and effectively communicate results through timely reports and presentations to cross-functional stakeholders
Delivers high-quality work with a strong sense of urgency maintaining attention to detail and adherence to process without compromising efficiency
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic and team-oriented environment
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as business needs require
Education Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics Economics Data Science Mathematics or Life Sciences); advanced degree preferred
Minimum 3 years in analytics roles with at least an additional 2 years in pharma/healthcare emphasizing data-driven insight generation
Understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization patient services and distribution networks; experience in the rare disease space is a strong plus
Extensive experience working with pharmaceutical data sources (claims data patient-level data CRM SP/HUB) and promotional activity data
Strong programming proficiency in Python R SQL or similar languages with the ability to independently build test and deploy data pipelines and analyses within environments such as Athena Snowflake or Databricks
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the proven ability to effectively engage cross-functional teams and translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders
