JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Physician Rheumatologist (Telehealth)

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Saranac Lake NY

Service Setting: Telehealth

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: 07/01/2025 10/24/2025 (16 weeks)

Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:30 PM (includes 1-hour lunch)

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults with rheumatologic conditions

Patient Volume/Census: TBD

Phone Consults: Yes (via telehealth)

Case Mix: Rheumatology; includes osteoporosis treatment with biologics

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: eClinical Works

Office Equipment Available: Telehealth infrastructure

Support Staff Available: MOA LPN 2 front desk staff

Reason for Coverage: Temporary rheumatology coverage via telehealth

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Credentialing Timeline: Not specified

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Not applicable (telehealth)

Overtime: Daily OT after 8 hours weekly OT after 40 hours (fixed)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Management of osteoporosis using biologics

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active New York medical license required

Certifications: Board Certified by ABIM and Rheumatology certification (ABMS or AOA OCC); Board Eligible may be considered

Experience: Telehealth experience required

Other Qualifications: Must reside in New York

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide remote rheumatology care to patients Monday Friday

Treat osteoporosis using biologics

Use eClinical Works EMR for documentation

Collaborate with remote support staff (MOA LPN front desk)
