Job Summary

The Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for strategic planning for Cornerstone Chapel and Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA). This individual will demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in all interactions with congregants volunteers and staff. The Strategic Initiatives Director will seek to perform all duties as unto the Lord relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance and completing all tasks with excellence.


Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field of study such as Business Administration Strategic Management Project Management Human Resources

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in business management or strategic planning

Technologies

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer workstation
  • Employee is not exposed to weather conditions and noise level in work area is minimal

Work Hours / Travel

  • 40 hours per week Monday through Friday during normal business hours with occasional weekend work as necessitated by current initiatives
  • Weekly scheduled day on-site at Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA) as well as other visits to the CCA campus as needed

Job Functions and Tasks

Essential Functions

  • Evaluate the overall function of Cornerstone Chapel by conducting regular SWOT analyses and prayerfully propose solutions for areas requiring improvement.
  • Design strategic plans for new initiatives and communicate plans to Executive Team and end users.
  • Lead change management efforts in collaboration with the Executive Team to capture staff buy-in and openness to change when necessary.
  • Communicate workflow and/or system changes to staff in written and presentation form.
  • Coach and direct Strategic Initiatives team in Cornerstone Chapel DNA and Innovation Pathway process to encourage innovation and service oriented mindset.
  • Define the goals of systems and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of systems.
  • Oversee the development of written and recorded knowledge base content updated workflows policies and processes to ensure clear and concise communication standards are being followed.
  • Oversee the management of all user accounts including onboarding offboarding permissions password resets and role transfers.
  • Oversee the monitoring of access controls to prevent unauthorized changes and address data breaches promptly.
  • In collaboration with IT Team develop data security protocols to manage data integrity provide data backups and safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage modification or disclosure.
  • Provide counsel and guidance to leadership regarding policies and procedures and provide education on management best practices.
  • Analyze system data and create presentations for decision making using Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
  • Manage and perform routine tasks in all SI functional areas.



Supplemental/Team Functions

  • Learn all existing and future features of the church and school systems to consistently provide necessary functionality to end users.
  • Design system structure workflow step-by-step guides and processes for all systems.
  • Develop document and revise system design procedures test procedures and quality standards for all systems.
  • Evaluate system principles requirements functionality requests and training needs in collaboration with end users.
  • Modify and customize system settings appearance and structure according to ministry requirements and needs assessments to improve communication and workflows.
  • Test and implement system enhancements updates and feature additions based on user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Train new end users on basic system functionality and how to use system effectively to accomplish required tasks.
  • Plan and conduct continuous education training sessions for staff with training documentation for institutional knowledge and reference.
  • Provide technical assistance to end users troubleshoot issues and resolve system malfunctions in collaboration with SaaS helpdesks and internal development teams.
  • Communicate system interruptions and/or system modifications to users as necessary.
  • Review procedures in information and system manuals to make changes to systems.
  • Gather and submit feedback address functionality limitations and advocate for user requirements on behalf of users with various SaaS Helpdesks and internal development teams.
  • Coordinate and integrate other software technology solutions to simplify workflows and allow for seamless transfer of information.
  • Identify evaluate and recommend additional church and school software technologies as needed in collaboration with the ministries and support departments.
    • Gather input from end users to understand workflow process or system inefficiencies to determine existing problem areas.
    • Ideate all possible solutions to the existing problems and present options to end users.
    • Demonstrate possible solutions to determine best option to solve existing problem.
    • Determine which solution will solve the problem most effectively for all end users.
    • Implement new solution on behalf of end users.
    • Launch new solution provide technical support and maintain data security and knowledge base.
