SELA Youth Organizing Network Coordinator

General Position Summary
The SELA Youth Organizing Network Coordinator will be responsible for sustaining and supporting the emerging SELA Youth Organizing Network comprised of Nuestra SELA Latino Equality Alliance and California Latinas for Reproductive Justice. This position will run from July 2025 to December 16 2025 with potential extensions depending on funding. The Coordinator will work closely with CBE youth program staff and youth members to strengthen collaboration among current network partners and conduct outreach to potential new partners in youth organizing across Southeast LA. They will play a key role in implementing the collective vision developed through recent surveys of youth in SELA helping bring that vision to life through concrete programming and partnerships. Responsibilities include coordinating network convenings hosting relationship-building events supporting partner alignment around shared goals and helping guide the development of network structures and strategies grounded in community priorities.
Specific Job Duties:
Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings with current network partners to support ongoing collaboration and alignment.
Support the implementation of network vision.
Host relationship building and network strengthening events.
Maintain consistent communication between CBE youth program staff and members
Specific Job Skills
Must have strong people skills be community friendly and be able to engage with a broad spectrum of people representing various social cultural and professional backgrounds.
Strong experience in coalition building and working with community partners
Solid understanding of environmental and social justice and commitment to long-term social change through community organizing.
Excellent detail-oriented project management skills.
Strong training and facilitation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
This is a temporary position expected to start in early July 2025 and an expected end date of April 30 2026. Pay is $38.57/hour with an expected workweek of 14 hours. Due to the temporary part-time nature of this work we are unable to offer most benefits; however the position does include a therapy/mental wellness benefit as well as a limited amount of paid sick leave.
