Job Description

We are looking for a Part Time Practice Manager - 25 hours a week (12 month Maternity Cover) who has strong communication and team building skills and previous experience leading and motivating a high functioning nursing team.

The team clients and patients at Kangaroo Flat are very down to earth we are positive easy going and professional. Whether its cuddling with patients talking with clients or diving into a challenging surgery we work together as a team to make a difference in the lives of our furry friends and their families.

There is a genuine love for what we do and were looking for a practice manager with the same desire to make a real difference in the lives of the pets in the community!

The responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Lead Mentor and Motivate and team of Vets & Nurses
  • Guiding and developing the team building a positive team culture
  • Taking initiative to enhance clinic operations efficiency and client retention
  • Collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships ensuring excellent service
  • Manage day-to-day clinic operations: scheduling inventory facility maintenance
  • Monitor and manage clinic financial performance including invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Work with regional management to meet financial targets and manage clinic performance

Our ideal candidate:

We are looking for a person who is proudly professional and passionate about veterinary care maintaining clinical standards driving improvement fear free/stress free handling and making sure that every animal who crosses our doorstep gets the best possible standard of care!

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with Senior Nurse or Practice Management experience
  • Experience coaching and mentoring
  • Possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Business Savy with strong organisational skills
  • A calm and friendly presence
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible and adaptable within a team environment
  • Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential
