SUMMARY
This individual will be responsible for the assembly of the load handling system. Typical parts are engine and transmission assemblies radiators transfer cases auxiliary transmission axles air systems hydraulic steering electric lines valves tanks brackets linkages tinware etc
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May install hitches bodies graders or other equipment where assembly is predetermined. Cut fit bend and adjust parts for fit or function as directed. Drill ream or tap holes for mounting or clearance as directed. Measure wire tubing or hose paths and cut tubing to length as directed. Fill batteries and accessory grease points as directed. Start up engine check dashboard instruments for proper function. Assemblies weigh up to 10000 lbs. with appropriate handling equipment such as crane dollies etc. provided.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Requires the use of simple arithmetic and some measuring instruments such as caliper scale and mechanical experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous heavy manufacturing or assembly experience
Previous hydraulic and/or wiring experience beneficial. Basic blue print reading skills and experience with hand tools wrenches and air tools
