Credentialed Veterinary Technician - Southdale Pet Hospital

We are a group of highly trained experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care Pet Hospitalis actively seeking an organized compassionate and self-motivatedCredentialedVeterinary Technicianwho is confident in rooming patients assisting in surgery placing IV catheters drawing blood and running bloodwork experienced in properly handling and restraining animals knowledge of x-ray and positioning understands the importance of client education able to confidently dispense and administer medication prescribed by the veterinarian and is a positive and supportive team member. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and we encourage our staff to do the same. Requirements:
- Credentialed Veterinary Technicianlicense must be current in the state of Minnesota
- 1 years of prior veterinary experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Confidently and comfortably restrain animals
- Knowledge of surgical prep monitoring and recovery
- Compassionate and caring toward our clients and their pets
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
- Multi-task efficiently
- Understand the importance of client education
- Be a positive and supportive team member
Pay Range: $22 -$25
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday 8:00 am-6:00 pm
Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT RVT or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not .
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with exams treatments and surgical procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean organized work environment.
