The Security compliance Engineering tech group is responsible for building tools to discover evaluate and remediate third party vendors with which Amazon interacts with. Were connected to all parts of Amazons business and its massive worldwide service-oriented architecture. We enable the Amazon business to build architect and operate their enterprise scale systems securely on AWS.
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who is excited about leading the technical vision and architecture for auditing and monitoring Amazons growing resource footprint in AWS. You will innovate in areas such as enterprise scale resource management in the cloud real time cloud intelligence and build systems that make it easy for global teams to define build requirements regardless of where their service or dependencies are hosted.
You will partner with the leadership team to drive key engineering and business decisions that will influence and impact Amazons software stack on AWS. You will also have the unique opportunity to provide inputs to the next generation of AWS services by representing one of its largest enterprise customers Amazon.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle including design development documentation testing and operations. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. They need to really enjoy working closely with their peers in a group of very talented engineers.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
