Job Description

Kia ora!

The Materials QA Inspection team is responsible for ensuring that all incoming aircraft parts materials and components are fully inspected to ensure compliance before being released for use on Air NZ fleet or customer aircraft.

We have a part-time (20 30 hours per week) 6-month fixed term contract available at our Logistics Centre near Auckland Airport. The role demands maintaining a very high standard of quality control while meeting tight processing timeframes due to critical or AOG (Aircraft on Ground)) aircraft fitment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply technical information and support to the business as required to ensure continued regulatory compliance
  • Manage and maintain the quality of all parts and materials by inspection in accordance with aviation regulations and ensure any non-conforming material is quarantined in accordance with aviation regulations
  • Manage and maintain conformity of all parts/materials and their associated certification documents to ensure regulations are complied with for parts to be sold to external customers
  • Manage and monitor the QA process and seek resolution to quality compliance and process issues to ensure they are rectified in accordance with suitable timeframes and regulations

Timely availability of aircraft products is essential to the airlines operation. This role offers a variety of job tasks and the satisfaction of meeting constantly changing priorities in a fast-paced operational workplace. No two days are ever the same.

Ideally you would currently be authorized to certify aircraft or aircraft components have a strong quality focus with attention to fine detail and enjoy working in a challenging environment. The ideal candidate is committed to achieving high standards in performance safety customer service and adherence to company values and procedures.
