Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $16.00 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- 5-20 hours per week
- 100% Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the design development and testing of rocket engines with a focus on injector and combustion system performance.
- Apply expertise in rocket injector design to optimize combustion efficiency and stability.
- Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting of combustion anomalies.
Required Competencies
- Deep understanding of injector types and their impact on combustion performance
- Knowledge of combustion dynamics stability and thermal management in rocket engines
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in rocket engine development.
- Proven experience in the construction of rocket engine test stands.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for testing and development.
- Availability to work nights and weekends to support test operations and project timelines.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
