Montgomery County Schools in Virginia is accepting applications for a high school Biology teacher position that is available at Christiansburg High School for theschool year 2025-2026.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers License with appropriate endorsement to teach Biology at the high school level
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
- Possesses the ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
- Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
- Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes collaboration and managing coursework
- Create and maintain an inclusive supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
- Communicate effectively with strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
- Demonstrate dependability punctuality and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a masters degree in Education and/or the specific subject area
FLSA: Exempt
SALARY: $52832.35 - $85613.64 annually with benefits; commensurate with experience
