The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education scholarship and service to advance human well-being for all with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.
The CNPD is comprised of three departments: Nursing Nutrition & Dietetics and Social Work.
The department of Social Work is seeking a full-time (9-month) faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses (including advising) and contribute to the mission of the department university and profession through service activities. This individual will contribute to a productive and collegial academic team and will develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with students.
UND Social Work faculty teach in both our campus-based and online distance programs (BSSW and Advanced Generalist MSW). We are committed to providing educational access to non-traditional students especially those interested in serving rural areas and Native American communities. In our rural state our department has strong partnerships with the state Division of Children and Family Services and houses its training arm the Children and Family Services Training Center. Our department is also strongly committed to partnerships with our states Tribal position requires an in-person on-campus presence.
