CED strives to pay a competitive wage in the industry and regional market. The pay range for this position is ($25-28) for entry level. The benefit includes eligibility to participate in 1 of 3 different BCBS of IL medical plans Dental (SunLife) Vision (EyeMed) Life and Disability Insurance 401(k) with a generous 6% match on a 6% contribution 11 Paid Holidays 5 paid Sick Days (based on a full year of employment). Vacation time accruals.
Job TitleCNC Set Up Operator/Machinist-2nd shift
If youre a skilled CNC Set-up/Operator/Machinist with a passion for precision quality and innovation this is the opportunity youve been waiting for. Our ideal candidate is a highly experienced machinist who can interpret engineering drawings work with tight tolerances and operate advanced machinery. Join us to be a part of groundbreaking projects that have a global impact.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Interpret engineering drawings sketches and verbal instructions to set up and operate CNC machinery.
2. Maintain precision by working within a tolerance of 0.00010 across various materials.
3. Proficiently setup and operate 5-Axis Milling centers and/or Multi Spindle/Multi Turret lathes. Showcase competency in bench work and deburring tasks.
Basic Requirements:
1. 5 years of experience with Okuma & Doosan Dual Spindle Lathes
2. 5 years of experience with Okuma & Doosan 5-Axis CNC Milling Centers
3. Can work 2nd shift hours 4:00pm-12:30am with OT until 3:30am. There is a $3.00/hr shift differential.

Working with industries where our parts are used we fall under multiple regulatory agencies. All CED Employees must meet the following minimum requirements.
Missile Defense Agency requires our employees be US Citizen US Person (permanent resident or granted status as a protected person under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) (refugee and asylum recipients)
Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms requiring a stringent background screening
Federal Aviation Administration mandated drug testing program (prohibits drugs including marijuana)
