PepWear based in Cedar Hill Texas is a leading growing company producing and selling screen-printed and embroidered apparel and commemorative plaques at school events and to school groups across the country. With a focus on service integrity and learning our Team makes the difference!
PepWear is looking for an experienced Art Manager to join our highly collaborative detail-oriented team. The ideal candidate must be artistically proficient with the ability to coach the art team learn and improve processes and manage projects with successful results ontime. He/She will report to the VP of Operations while working closely with the Production Customer Sales and Product Managers to ensure high quality production friendly results.
Overall Responsibility
The Art Manager will be responsible for a successful art team that creates and produces graphics for screen printing embroidery promotional products web social media video signage and advertising. He/She will work closely with PepWear management on brand development marketing and special projects.
Task and Duties
- Schedule monitor workflow track results and implement guidelines for the art team
- Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure production-friendly art is produced correctly and solve problems as they happen
- Performance reviews monthly team member meetings managing performance-based compensation tracking and evaluating performance data and effective group communication
- Design and create art when special projects arise and when the art team has more than it can handle.
- Work directly with the Event Team to manage client branding develop art for each season and ensure art is on schedule for event production
- Work directly with management on marketing for PepWear sales and client needs
- Use knowledge of design concepts and creativity to design based on customer input
- File management and database processing to keep accurate details on the process of each job
- Continue education on all software and design techniques
What you need to win the job
- Be a servant leader
- Effective communication skills to get information for best first draft designs and edits
- Must be proficient in Adobe Suite graphics programs (Illustrator & Photoshop) and Microsoft Office applications
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve results
- File management and organization skills are required
- Acute attention to detail instructions spelling and grammar
- Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
- 3 years in creating designs for screen printing and/or digital output
- Comfortable with writing copy for marketing
- Experience with QuickBase and/or ShopWorks is a plus (not required)
