Amazons Legal Department is looking for a Legal Assistant to join its Business Conduct & Ethics team and support its first-in-class anti-corruption compliance program.
We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to contribute to all proactive aspects of our compliance program including supporting operations and risk mitigation projects. Youll work with a global team of Compliance Specialists and Attorneys to advance our program.
The successful candidate has previously contributed to large-scale sophisticated programs and has experience innovating and simplifying processes in ambiguity. This person should be a strong written and verbal communicator with great organization and attention to detail. A high level of professionalism integrity and discretion in handling confidential information as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company is essential.
Key job responsibilities - Help administer the operations and tooling of our proactive compliance program (Gift Reporting Conflicts Reporting Third Party Due Diligence and Training); - Track and report on performance of our program; - Maintain team contracts and manage spend with vendors; - Contribute to project management of risk mitigation efforts; - Coordinate and cooperate with teams of compliance specialists and attorneys; - Help invent and simplify mechanisms to mitigate risk at scale.
- 1 years of professional or military experience - 2 years of administrative assistant experience - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience working proactively and independently meeting deadlines and delivering on projects and tasks - Experience in a technology company or other legal experience
