Position Overview
The Team Lead Demand Planning is accountable for either multiple smaller customer accounts or for one major customer account from an ad management perspective. In this role you will be primarily responsible for managing the customer relationship for all aspects of ad demand planning as well as working with internal partners such as Procurement teams to ensure that forecast accuracy service and inventory targets are met. You will also be responsible for participating in the development and implementation of data-driven business solutions and optimization initiatives to support forecast accuracy service level and inventory value targets as well as being responsible for implementing new processes technologies (in partnership with Data Science) and organizational plans/realignments.
Job Description
- Supervise and coach a team of salaried and/or hourly personnel that include demand planning analysts and demand planning reps and own demand planning tasks for an assigned account (SKU-level forecasting and associate tasks).
- Manage the end-to-end promotional ad process including forecasting and distribution management. Achieve Service Level Leftover Ad Overpull WFA and Attainment goals as put forth by department management.
- Serve as the primary customer interface for all ad turn and distribution-related matters for multiple small customers or one major customer. Report past current and future promotional activity and results to internal/external correspondents and senior management to help drive future improvements
- Develop and enhance business reporting tools identify opportunities to optimize systems processes and efficiencies within procurement and support implementation of solutions.
- Partner with Sales team to achieve best-in-class results setting C&S customers up for success by driving change in core demand planning tenants.
- Facilitate training and problem solving across the team with a focus on the fundamental tasks of demand planning and collaboration with intra- and inter-departmental partners. Accountable for achieving team success by creating an environment where teammates are empowered and inspired to be the best versions of themselves. Available and accessible to the demand planning team procurement teams and other partners during their working hours.

Skills
- Specialized Knowledge : Working knowledge and/or experience in demand planning/procurement/sales/wholesale or retail knowledge.
- Special Skills : Strong analytical skills Successfully prioritizes multiple tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to build knowledge of organization processes and customers. Willingness to be flexible. Strong communication skills.
