Valid Rhode Island certification as a secondary teacherValid Rhode Island certification for building administratorMinimum of five years of successful secondary teaching experienceDemonstrated knowledge of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming requirementsAny exceptions to the above as may be acceptable to the SuperintendentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Prior leadership experienceDemonstrated success in working collaboratively with teachers administrators students and familiesBuilding relationships with industry and community partners Experience and expertise in program development data collection and analysis program evaluation and reportingExcellent oral and written communication skills and technology use PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordination of Career and Technical Education:Facilitate the integrity of instruction of CTE core curriculum.Coordinate the delivery and analysis of common unit assessment data in CTE programsCollaborate with school and district leaders and CTE staff to identify areas of program improvement. Support and monitor progress of areas needing improvementCollaborate with Associate Principal in the development and management of CTE program budgets and grantsManage school accountability data as it relates to CTE work based learning earned credentials and college credits Facilitate and support team professional learningEngage in ongoing collaboration with leadership to assist in the recruitment and retention of students for CTE programsServe as a member of the school leadership teamBuild working partnerships with area businessesClimate and CultureEnhance student & school climate and culture through the development and implementation of effective student behavioral systems and strategies Maintain high standards of conduct Support administrative team in the development of interventions and strategies to address student attendance and chronic absenteeismCoordinate supervision and provide coverage at school eventsWork with Dean of Students to support school safety and securitySupport the administration in the supervision of all safety fire lockdown and evacuation drillsCoordinate the development and revision of the Mt. Hope High School Student-Parent HandbookPositive Behavior ManagementPromote positive student behavior in collaboration with the Administrative Team Department Chairs and all personnel in order to ensure maximum order and control throughout the entire high school building and campusInvestigate adjudicate and monitor discipline infractions according to the school code of conductWork with the student assistance counselor to coordinate and develop proactive disciplinary interventions related to substance use and abuseCollaborate with administration parents teachers and school counselors to support students and families regarding behavior student safety and welfare. Work with teachers to resolve student behavior issues in a restorative and productive wayRequired Experience:
