Coordinator Facilities Maintenance II
Position Objective
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator II performs routine maintenance services for the facility and assist with other general maintenance that is within the scope of the individuals skills in accordance with standardized processes and methods.
Primary Responsibilities
- May perform periodic maintenance as required. May also perform facility repairs including routine plumbing. Cleans machinery as instructed. May assist in the installation of new equipment.
- May be required to pick-up or drop off materials or supplies. May be requested to maintain company vehicle service requirements.
- Responsible for reporting any maintenance requirements that may not otherwise have been identified.
- Ensures adequate supplies of stock for maintenance is maintained.
- Collects segregates and transports hazardous waste from generation points to the hazardous waste storage building.
- Regularly inspects facility where hazardous waste is stored and evaluates compliances tracks accumulation start dates of storage containers.
- Compiles and maintains list of hazardous waste needing disposal and organizes waste for proper transport and disposal.
- May be required to assist maintenance - skilled in performing non-technical requirements of tasks being performed.
- May be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of facility including removal of garbage re-cycle paper/cardboard bins sweeping damp mopping vacuuming and cleaning washrooms. Ensure that all paper supplies for kitchens/cafeterias washrooms and eye cleaning stations are in place.
- Maintains exterior and interior appearance of facility painting windows walkways cleared of debris/snow cuts grass weed control trim shrubs and may perform maintenance and repairs on irrigation system.
- Act as the facilitys Hazardous waste coordinators responsible for handling hazardous chemicals and managing the accumulation storage and disposal of hazardous waste during per applicable regulatory requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 6 months work-related experience or training.
Required Qualifications
- HAZMAT and DOT Certified on proper handling of chemicals and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to read write communicate and comprehend written work instructions.
- Must be able to use cleaning supplies/equipment hand tools associated with building maintenance (i.e. hammer wrenches painting equipment) outdoor lawn and maintenance equipment etc.
- Valid drivers license.
- Efficient in using MS Office applications including Excel.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
