CHAMPs stands for Cornwall Health And Making Partnerships and are a team of adults with learning disabilities and/or autistic people who work tirelessly to improve the health outcomes for residents of Cornwall who are autistic or have leaning disabilities. They do this by delivering accessible health interventions such as Healthy Me course accessible Diabetes & You course training hospital checking to ensure that reasonable adjustments are in place. The team sit on both the Learning Disability Partnership Board and the Autism Partnership Board ensuring their voices are heard. The team also manage the Safe Places scheme on behalf of the council and in partnership with the police. The CHAMPs also produce Easy Read on behalf of the council to ensure documents are accessible to our residents.
